IT HAS BEEN BUSY, BUSY,BUSY, AND I AM BEHIND.. I AM SO TIRED, AND WILL BE GOING TO BED SOON...
I CELEBRATED MY BIRTHDAY ON FRIDAY, THE 5TH.... I HAD A WONDERFUL DAY. A FREIND TOOK ME OUT FOR A BIRTHDAY DINNER....BECAUSE OF MY BIRTHDAY, THEY GAVE ME A GIANT HOT CHOC. SUNDAE... WE SHARED IT, IT WAS SO HUMUNGOUS. I STILL HAVE SOME BIRTHDAY CAKE LEFT.
TODAY WAS A FAMILY REUNION ON MY MOTHER'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY... MY PRECIOUS PARENTS ARE HAVING A BETTER REUNION WHERE THEY ARE WITH JESUS..... HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL EVENING, SLEEP WELL, AND GOD BLESS. LOVE YOU ALL

things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of
the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise

Knowing Jesus is God's Messiah is one thing. Following Jesus as
our Lord is quite another. Getting our minds, hearts, and lives to
all line up is always a challenge. Once Jesus' disciples confessed
him as the Christ, he knew he had to teach them the real road to
glory. Each of the Gospels reminds us that this road led to the
cross of agony before it led to the crown of glory. The early
church captured it in a song that reminded them that they, too,
must walk that same road (see Philippians 2:5-11). We are a
heaven-bound people, but we can be sure that we will encounter
potholes and bumps along the road and even steep hills to climb as
Satan tries to derail and defeat us. Our Savior, however, has
already walked this road, and he is our great reminder that the
path leads us to share in his glory, too.
Dear Father, I know several believers who are struggling to
follow Jesus faithfully. Please, dear LORD, I ask that you give
them the strength and the courage to endure, and that you use me to
encourage them and to help them through this dark time in their
lives. I want to specifically mention several people by name, and
ask you to bless them. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

In the parable of the sower Jesus said, "Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the Word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the Word, making it unfruitful" (Mark 4:18-19 NIV). Notice, the problem is not the sower or the seed, it's the soil. Jesus said they "hear the word", so we're talking about churchgoers with a pre-existing mindset that chokes every Scripture they hear, read, or try to apply. Jesus describes these thorns as: "The worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things" (Mark 4:19).
Do you remember the time when you thought the house you now live in, the career you now enjoy, and the investments you now have, would make all your worries go away? But no, the more you have, the more you have to lose, to protect, to maintain, and to worry about. That's "the deceitfulness of wealth". If your significance as a person or your sense of security is tied to anything other than your relationship with God, worry will choke the life right out of you. True happiness lies in trusting God for what you need, knowing if it's right He'll provide it, and if not He'll give you something better.
Chuck Swindoll writes, "We live among thorns because we've a quiet, respectable, secret love for them. I know. I've got the ugly scars to prove it. Each one a mute reminder of years trapped in the thicket; periodically I still have to yank a few." How about you - do you have some thorns you need to pull?

There is no depth you can descend to where God is not present with you. God does not regard depression as sin, nor does He take it lightly. He responds with great tenderness, understanding, and compassion to those who suffer the darkness of depression. Even if you don't feel God's presence, He has not abandoned you.you don't have to wallow in the darkness. Allow God's comforting light to enter your soul. Don't push Him away. He knows everything about your situation, He knows what you are going through, and He loves you more than you could ever imagine.

IT HAS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I HAVE BEEN ON HERE. IT HAS REALLY BEEN A BUSY TIME FOR ME. WE HAD A COUPLE THRIFT SALES, AND IT ALL TAKES TIME AND WORK. IT WAS FUN.. WE ARE GOING TO HAVE ONE MORE NEXT THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. THAT WILL THE END OF IT... IT IS NICE MEETING NEW PEOPLE...
