Phyllis's Web Journal

My name is Phyllis thanks for coming by my journal! I am from the dairy state, WI. I have been a born again christian since I was just a small child. I used to ride my bike down the street and sing songs I leaned in Sunday School, and tell the neighborhood kids if they didn't go to Sunday School, they were going to go to Hell.. I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues when I was 11 years of age at Bible camp. Jesus is the same,yesterday, today and forever, just like he was in the Bible days...I believe in miracles, and in healing..I have been healed many times, and also from an incurable disease which there was no medication for it was so rare. I have been healed in the last year from something the Dr. diagnosed me with, and confirmed by my doctor, I am totally healed.. And I know it will not come back. And God is the God of now.. I can never praise and thank him enough for what he has done for me. He is my everything, he is my all, he is my everything both great and small, he gave his life for me, he made everything new, he is my everything, now how about you??????????? And I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.......

THE BENEFITS OF WAITING ON GOD

"Blessed is the man who listens to me,

Watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway"

PROVERBS 8:34

If your like most people, you probably hate to wait. We are busy people; we usually have more to do in any given day than we can possibly accomplish. And yet over and over again, Scripture speaks the need for us to wait---- and commands us to do so." Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him" PSALM 37:7. The key is waiting for Him. The Bible teaches that waiting for Him is actually a blessing in our lives. This verse tells us that we are blessed when we listen to God and watch daily at His doors. But how does God use times of waiting to bless us?

When God permits life's circumstances to delay us from our intended goal, we can be sure He has a good reason. It might be build our faith,and when we are forced to wait our faith must become stronger.

God also may be wanting us to learn patience, as we wait for hopeful anticipation for Him to work in our situation. He has promised that we will be strengthened with all the power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father.

God loves us in our times of waiting. The next time you become restless during that time use that time to praise God for all the blessings that He has in store for you. And don't forget to thank Him that His timing is always perfect
