I AM BACK

I haven't been on here since I had my surgery..
The surgery went well. I was real sick coming out of it.  I was in the intensive unite the first night. Then they moved me in the morning to another room. I was close to the nurses station for they were keeping an eye on me, being it was the main artary that led to my brain.... It was a big major surgery... The surgery should have taken three hours, but after the Specialist had me open, it was worse than what he thought it was. It took four hours. The angieograrm did not show everything.. The artary was 88 % clogged. I had 12 % blood flow to my brain.. It was a miracle I didn't have a stroke. God sure was with me.... That is why I had been so light headed  and dizzy at times.  I have been light headed off n on for about three years... Lately it was getting worse..Praise God it is all behind me now... I was in the hospital for five days... I was so weak, which is unstandable. . God sure did give me a good Specialist. He is one of the best Artary Specialists here.  My insission is from behind the ear to almost the middle of my throat.. About 8 inches or so... It is healing really nice..
The main artary is right next to the throat, so I have had a sore throat for a long time, although it is gone now.  It was cutting like a knife... He said that was normal after that kind of surgery... The Dr. said, some of the plaque was so  hard,    he did a lot of scraping. He had to cut some out with a scissors..
I have  several restrictions. . I can't bend over to pick up things that fall on the floor. I have one of those picker uppper things. That helps.. Other wise I just leave it  until someone comes.. I can't reach up, have to becareful in turning my neck. Can't do stairs., can't drive.. I am not ready to drive just yet anyway... The first day after the surgery I was on liquids, it was nice to be on a soft diet... And I was on a soft diet until the sore throat healed... I an on a regular diet now....
I went in a couple of weeks ago the specialist wanted to ck the insission. They told me I was a fast healer.. I said I am a firm believer in prayer.
While I was in the hospital, God sure was with me.. I had a lot of people praying for me, and I am sure people are still praying for me. I was on prayer chains..... The nursing staff was in and out all day and all night long. They questioned me about my pain. They could not believe that didn't have any pain. One nurse said, no pain???? You know you had a big major surgery, and no pain?  I said no I have no pain. With an 8 inch insission, no pain.. I had so many chances to witness for Jesus... I said it is a God thing, there are people praying for me all over the world, and I am on prayer chains.... They just marveled how well I was doing. That is just like my Jesus... He is so wonderful, and so Faithful....
As long as I still can't drive, my niece and Sterling took me in for an ultra sound  Monday whcch the Specialist ordered. It did hurt a little when the tech. went over the insission. She didn't put to much pressure on, she really did a good job...
I am now getting more on the computer. I can't be on no longer than a 1/2 hour at a time.  That times goes by so fast.. The first few weeks I was home I wasn't on at all. It really bothered my eyes....The Specialist didn't want me to be home alone. I had friends coming in all the time. Some brought in meals for me, which was really nice. One of my friends made a big hotdish, so I could eat that for a couple of days.. A friend did my laundry for me.. My niece popped in when she could.. She teaches so it was a little difficult for her to come a lot...

My niece drove my car this afternoon, we went to have the oil changed which was so much needed.  I was past my time in having it done.
Yesterday, she drove my car when she took me to the hospital for the ultra sound..We stopped to pick up a few groceries..  I am surprised when I am out how weak  I still am.. Although I am getting stronger each day... One of these days when I can turn my head, I will be driving again.
It was so nice to get out .And it was good to have my car get on the road..  I was so tired when I got home. The other day a friend came over and we went for a ride.. She drove my car... The weather has been just beautiful.. The snow is really melting fast. I do think we will have some cold weather and snow yet. It is a little early... I would be surprised if the weataher stayed like this. Yet you never know.
Hope you have a great evening,
God bless,
Love you $ hugs
Phyllis.
We have been working on this for almost a year.. I knew I was going to have to have surgery... I had two ultra sounds, one M R A  then an angieogram.. . The Specialist didn't any of the reading, he said he has to make sure of what is going on before he did the surgery....After the angiogram, which was  very uncomfortable. .. But I lived through it... I think I wrote the surgery should have been three hours, but ended up to be four, for it was worse that what he thought it was... The angieogram didn't show everything. It is so  nice not to be light headed and dizzy anymore.. I don't have any pressure on my eyes, and my eyes are not twitching anymore.. I can still feel the muscles working,  but this too shall passs.    The blood is flowing real nice throught the plastic mesh they sewed in.  He didn't  want to put in a stint, for the stints for the artaries are only two years old, and they have not proven themselves yet. He said we don't want to go through this again...
I am finding out that I still get weak when I got out and so tired...     Yesterday a friend stopped by, she was going to get her hair done, and asked if i wanted to go with her. My hair is so long, and I looked terrible.. I said sure I would go with her, I didn't know for sure   how we were going to get my hair washed.. I am not suppose to bend over yet. but I did bend my knees as far as I could, the put my head doen over the shampoo sink, for a quivk wash... Then I had it cut.. Oh, it felt so good. When I looked in the mirror, I would scare myself I looked so bad.. lol..
Then we went out for lunch.. Then to her son's.. By the time I got home, I was tired..
Please excuse any repeats....
