FEBRUARY 7, 2009 GOD'S LOVE

 
 

  And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5
God's Love is:

Gracious- He is merciful and compassionate in giving His love to sinners. Romans 5:8
Omnipresent- His love is ever present because it is in our hearts. Romans 5:5
Deep- It is deeper than the ocean and overflowing. I Corinthians 2:10
Strong- His love is stronger than the hills. Psalm 95:4

Loyal- nothing can separate us from His love. Romans 8:35
Omniscient- His love knows our every need. Philippians 4:19
Victorious- His love is all victorious for it conquered even death. I Corinthians 15:55
Everlasting- His love is eternal. Jeremiah 31:3

The attributes of God's love are as endless as He is. How awe-inspiring it is to know that we have a Savior that loves us more than we can even comprehend. As believers it is important to reflect on the attributes of God's amazing love so we can better appreciate the gift of salvation that He has given us. When times become tough and life becomes difficult, remembering the many attributes of His love can help uplift and encourage us in our Christian walk, and keep us looking upward awaiting His return.

Perhaps you are struggling right now with your health or your finances. Maybe you feel lonely because your family does not share your faith. When you feel downtrodden and discouraged, think of Christ's wonderful love. He will always keep you close to His heart.
